Retrofit Information, Support and Expertise (RISE) is a free service offering training, guidance and support to help social housing providers, Local Authorities and their supply chains plan and deliver successful domestic retrofit programmes. Funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, the service is delivered by Turner & Townsend.
RISE offers a clear and simple pathway for organisations working on government funded retrofit schemes, from application through to delivery.
Support for simple, successful retrofit
Our expert-led team creates and delivers high quality training, events, resources and one-to-one mentoring. These are all about making it easier for organisations to develop retrofit plans that not only attract funding but also meet the needs of residents, create more comfortable homes and support decarbonisation commitments.
As a centre of excellence, we also offer a comprehensive online hub of resources and ongoing learning and development programme, which makes accessing our services simple and easy to fit around busy schedules.
RISE is available to all Social Housing providers and Local Authorities in England, as well as the retrofit supply chain. The support provided is relevant to the whole domestic retrofit sector, with a specific focus on those that can access the different Government funds to support domestic retrofit. The support available
We can help you to overcome the barriers to developing retrofit projects and give you the best chance of successfully applying for Government funding.
Our support covers a range of funding, technical and project management topics. You can access this through the Knowledge Hub on our website, by attending one of our events, and through one-to-one engagement.

Support for the retrofit suppliers
Alongside this, RISE offers support to those across the retrofit supply chain, enabling suppliers to better meet the needs of customers and the sector as a whole.
Critically, we offer all this valuable support for as long as it is needed. We make sure it’s as relevant to those at the very start of their retrofit journey as it is to those with more experience but who are looking to expand and improve.
