Supporting project managers in retrofit delivery | Supply Chain Roundtable
This roundtable is designed for contractors, installers, suppliers and specialist delivery partners working in UK retrofit, to explore how the supply chain can better support Project Managers in delivering successful retrofit projects.
The roundtable is designed for attendees to actively contribute, so participants are encouraged to come prepared to discuss key themes such as:
- Understanding the role of the Project Manager in retrofit delivery
- Quality and Quality Assurance from a site and supply chain perspective
- Sequencing, co-ordination and managing trade interfaces
- Managing and communicating change on site
- Translating design intent into practical delivery
- Skills, training and capacity across the supply chain
- Communication, collaboration and information flow between PMs and site teams
The session will create an open forum to explore the practical challenges and realities of delivering retrofit projects, and how day‑to‑day decisions made by contractors and installers impact quality, compliance, programme and project outcomes.
Participants will have the opportunity to share experiences, identify common challenges and friction points, and contribute ideas that improve collaboration, efficiency and consistency across the supply chain. The discussion will focus on building a clearer understanding of what Project Managers need, how the supply chain can respond, and how better alignment can support right‑first‑time delivery.
This session will encourage open, honest discussion in a collaborative and non‑blaming environment, with a focus on practical solutions that can be applied on-site.
