Learning Communities: Warm Homes

Creating dynamic spaces for Grant Recipients to connect, share experiences, tackle common challenges and share success stories in delivering retrofit projects.

Introducing Learning Communities: Warm Homes

New to RISE in 2025, Learning Communities: Warm Homes gives all those delivering Warm Homes-funded projects the opportunity to engage with fellow Grant Recipients, for a series of discussion sessions that cover market trends, common challenges, and tried and tested solutions for retrofit projects.

When you join a Learning Community you benefit from:

  • Peer-to-peer learning: Share insights, lessons learned, and best practices with others facing similar challenges.
  • Regional and scheme-neutral groups: Build strong local networks and strengthen area-based approaches to retrofit.
  • Feedback loops: Shape the future of RISE’s learning offer and share valuable insights with the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ).

Learning Communities takes a regional, and ‘funding scheme neutral’ approach, meaning that you can meet and work with organisations from across your area and build strong local networks – a great way to help strengthen area-based approaches to retrofit.

The programme is designed to be shaped and led by members, allowing them to steer the sessions to reflect regional needs. They will be supported and facilitated by the RISE team, working with members to co-create agendas and topics, and provide policy and practice guidance.

If you are looking to build a stronger network of peers who are all working to deliver Warm Homes projects, and would value carefully curated peer-to-peer learning, insight sharing and collaborative problem solving – Learning Communities: Warm Homes can support you.

How will it work?

The programme will feature regular regional Forums and Special Interest Groups, providing opportunities for discussion, problem-solving, and solution development. Sessions will be facilitated by RISE and supported by DESNZ, but shaped by you – the Grant Recipients.

Quote

“Our Learning Communities are regional, so you’ll work with organisations from across your area and steer the sessions to reflect your region’s needs.  If you are looking to build a stronger network of peers who are all working to deliver Warm Homes projects, I really recommend joining your regional Learning Community.”
