Of the 5.4 million social housing homes in the UK, around 10% have electric storage heating and hot water systems. This percentage is much higher for high-rise and medium- rise multiple dwelling units (MDU).

This Masterclass looks at how storage heaters work, their strengths and weaknesses, how they have been controlled in the past, and the importance of off-peak tariffs in improving affordability.

We’ll look at the introduction of High Heat Retention (HHR) storage heaters, and how the performance of both old and new storage heaters can be transformed through smart retrofit electric controls and weather compensation technology.
